This is a 4 week project.
For the primary environment of this project I used a concept from the awesome Feng Zhu (https://twitter.com/fengzhudesign?lang=en) and added a terrarium for foliage in the center. I wanted to create an interior scene that felt like it was two completely different worlds colliding and for it to feel like an attempt to preserve nature of a less than thriving world.
I modeled everything in Maya, made all of the materials in substance designer, used a mixture of custom meshes(80%) and a couple of the pre-made meshes(20%) using MegaScan textures to create the foliage, and used SpeedTree to design the tree trunk and roots. Inside unreal engine I created custom spline blueprints with end cap allocation to create a majority of the tubing, as well as created a worker bee AI that flies around in the terrarium "maintaining the environment" to add to the ambient movement of the scene.
