School Project for Modular Environments and Lighting Practice
I based a majority of my project off of a single image I found of a 3-D design originally created by Daniel McKay (www.artstation.com/mobotato) and then I added my own personal touches to see how far I could push this in a month.
I had a lot of fun working on this. I created a simple blockout in UE4, modeled everything in Maya, created all of the modular materials in substance designer and used substance painter to texture the remaining props, created custom collision and multiple UV sets for texturing and light map use, and finally I implemented all assets into Unreal Engine where I set up lighting and baked light maps. I even messed around with blueprints to create a few functional assets such as working doors, spinning emergency lights, a jet pack for science, and a handful of other fun interactions for myself and my peers to enjoy during critique.
